‘Art For’ (Kunst Voor) originally has been an initiative to raise money for radio 3FM’s ‘Serious Request’ in the year 2016 and 2017. This year we have decided to go our own way and select our own charity.
Art For has the intention to raise funds and awareness for the smaller charities and will switch to another charity once each year. We choose to help the smaller charity organisations deliberately because it provides more view and trust on what is actually going to happen with the funds. No big organisations with big bosses that take a 90% cuts. Everything should go to the people, animals or the nature that are desperately in need of these donations and raised awareness.
Last year we've raised €695 for the foundation ‘Cats In Need’ (Kat in Nood).
This year we're raising money for the foundation, De Fûgelhelling, a shelter for native birds and wildlife in the north of the Netherlands.
On a yearly base this foundation takes in thousands of animals with the goal to recover and set back to where they belong: nature.
De Fûgelhelling mainly works with volunteers and runs on gifts, donations and proceeds from charity fundraisers and their own giftshop. Because of this and the fact that we think they're doing amazing work, we'll try to help them out in our own way, by raising money trough sales off postcards, prints and our book!
Multiple artist are associated with ART FOR. This year every artist will provide 3 different pieces of art or photo's. The theme for this year is birds & wildlife.
These works of art are being presented in the form of postcards and A4 prints and are available in our webshop until December 1nd, 2019.
New this year is our Art For book with all associated artists, interviews and information about our charity and us.
Next to our book we've also run our first lottery, here you can win prices from original artwork to products from our shop.
We are located in the Netherlands but will ship world-wide.
The complete amount of money raised (excl. printing costs) will go to Kat in Nood. Afterwards we will keep you updated on our social media about what will happen with the money we've donated.
The webshop is open until December 1st. After closing we will send everything to the printing company, we do this to save as much costs as possible so that we can donate a maximum amount to the charity of this year.
Payment can only be made via bank transfer.
We hope that all orders for arrive before Christmas. You will receive an e-mail when your order is shipped. The shipment may take longer due to the holidays or international shipping.
